Linslade Galaxy FC have had another great season and the club continues to put enjoyment & development over competitiveness & winning at all costs. I’d like to think that as a general rule of thumb we can find a place for children of all abilities in our various teams and we remain only one of very few clubs who don’t ask players to take trials before joining a team.

On the pitch there have been some great achievements with both the mixed & girls sections winning multiple trophies in last summers tournament season as well as some excellent individual success from many of the players.

The club will start the new season in a strong position with 26 teams in total made up of 17 mixed teams & 9 Girls teams, Unfortunately we say good bye to our Pumas team who have been with the club from under 8’s through to under 18’s and I’d like to thank Dave Oatley for all the hard work and dedication he’s put in over the last decade.

The girls section continues to grow and this is thanks to all the great work and organisation of the girls section committee members & parent helpers who have made this possibly the biggest girls section in the local area.

It’s been great reading all the match reports this season and I really think this is something that sets us asides from other local clubs and I regularly get warm comments from parents who enjoy reading them. Well done to Phil & Graham for all your hard work you’ve put in this again this season.

The Tournament was another great success with 82 teams competing over the weekend of 22nd & 23rd June and an estimated 2000 people in attendance over the two days. This would not be possible without the help of the committee members, Parent helpers & team coaches who I would like to thank wholeheartedly for their efforts in making this happen.

Next season we look forward to the arrival of the new kits which were designed by our own players at Linslade Galaxy and I’m sure we will look the part as we continue our partnership with MG Sportswear.

Well done everyone on the committee for all your tireless work & dedication, it’s very much appreciated and without it there simply wouldn't be a club.
