DYLAN BALL SCOOPS CLUB APRIL PLAYER OF THE MONTH AWARD

Philip Stanley4 May 2023 - 19:00

U13 Ajax player, Dylan, rewarded for great performances across the month

A huge congratulations to Dylan Ball for winning the Linslade Galaxy FC Player of the month award for April!

Senior Regional Sales Manager, Peter Deedman, from Gartec, the trophy sponsor, and who chose the winner out of the team players of the month, chose Dylan because, "I liked that he stepped up with a real passion and attitude and put the team first".

U13 Ajax Coach, Stu Cooper, put forward Dylan for the award for the following reasons:

"Two big games against Woodside and Great Linford in the battle for 4th place for Ajax in April and before a ball was kicked, the team were hit with the bombshell that stalwart defender Big Seb would be leaving the side with immediate effect. With no fuss, up steps midfield maestro Dylan to cover, instrumental in both victories at the back where we conceded just one against Woodside and kept a clean sheet against Great Linford. With his blend of tough tackling and composure on the ball, you would be mistaken to think he had played there his whole life! What a fantastic, team-first attitude he has shown this month!".

There were plenty of other excellent performances in matches and training across the Club throughout March and these are recognised by many of the coaches, who put forward these players as their team's player of the month.

Nyla Chatfield (U8 Tigers)
"Nyla is a player who is generally very quiet, until she's gets onto the pitch when she turns into a powerhouse player. Nyla is a versatile player who can play in both defence and Midfield. A tough tackler who when in Midfield can also be a powerful runner with the ball. Tigers only played two matches in April but Nyla put in two great performances and scored a "wonder" goal in one match when she lobbed the goalkeeper".

Shay Raval (U8 Wanderers)
"Shay has played and trained with great attitude, he has been fully committed to every tackle and hasn't been phased by some of the larger players we've come across. Shay's all-round play has been improving and he managed to score his first goal for the season which was a cracking goal, top bins as they would say".

Heidi Woollard (U9 Barca)
"Heidi’s performance levels have been really good in April, culminating in a PoM award in Barca’s final league game of the season. Heidi has also been listening to the coaches in training, which was demonstrated in the final matches of the season by Heidi working the wings/channels with greater effect to link up play with the midfield. Well done Heidi - keep up the hard work and the belief in yourself!".

Albie Harrison (U9 Bayern)
"Albie has showed a great attitude in training and on match days and has also scored two important goals for us this month! Keep up the good work, Albi. Well done!".

Scarlett McCready (U9 Panthers)
"This player brings her fantastic energy to the team week after week. Football is a team game and the players that can build strong relationships and bring fun and commitment are the source of success. Always developing and focused in training, keep up the great work. This is why Scarlett is getting my vote for player of the month".

Freddie Tozer (U10 Porto)
"Fred is our player of the month for April. Goals, energy, and trickery were part of his performances. His two finishes against Bromham were superb. We asked Fred to do a job in defence in the final game, a position he wasn't that keen on. But he played with intelligence and good feet, benefitting the team in defence and attack".

Annabelle Darbyshire (U11 Lynxes)
"The Lynxes u11 player of the month nomination for April goes to Annabelle. She is a player who normally does her job quietly but very effectively and always giving 100%. This player has been ever present at matches and training working hard to perfect the defensive position. She has naturally formed a partnership with her close friend Addison; however, Annabelle will work hard with whoever she is paired with. During a match recently the Lynxes were asked to assist the opposition as they were short on numbers. When asked, Annabelle confidently joined players who she had never meet before, she put in a solid performance at the back, although frustrating her coach made him very proud. In a match against Luton Hatters, who are a formidable opponent, Annabelle was substituted in the fourth quarter for the sole reason she had worked so hard the entire match she had earned a well-deserved break. When players apply themselves as much as Annabelle, it makes the coach's job very rewarding. Well done Annabelle, keep up the hard work!"

Zach Theodorou (U16 Boca Juniors)
"He scored 11 goals in 3 games, taking him to 52 goals for the season. Zach is a true star, he has electric pace, unbelievable close control, he is skillful, he can pass the ball well and he can finish in a number of different ways. Just amazing!".

Tyrelle Beale (U16 Pumas)
"Tyrelle only joined the team in January, but has slotted in with the rest of the players straight away. His speed, strength of tackle and dribbling skills give him the perfect attributes to play in several different positions from right back to left wing, which he has done to a high standard wherever he plays. Tyrelle gives 100% effort in matches and training without any complaints, making him a very good asset for the team. Pumas only had 2 games in April and the team performances were like chalk and cheese in comparison, but Tyrelle was one of only a few players that still shone even when the rest of the team were having a shocker and his effort and energy levels never dropped. Tyrelle is a quiet lad, but his actions on the pitch are loud and clear bringing positivity to everything that he does".
