(Many thanks to Coach, Andy, for the match report)
Saturday 23 November - MKDDL U12 DIVISION 1
Stoke Hammond Youth U12 Warriors 1 – 1 Linslade Galaxy U12 Porto
They took a deserved lead towards the end of the first half when Tom's hassling to shut down the keeper resulted in a goal. But as the second half closed in an equaliser came which left the team frustrated.
Porto controlled long spells and can be proud in how they played today. Throughout the match it was great to see the team playing football during the howling wind and rain. They just couldn't make the most of their chances following lots of pressure.
James was player of the match. He made it hard for the opponents and drove the team forward, getting the ball down well and wide.
Porto will be disappointed with the result, but they shouldn't be disappointed in how they played. It was a committed and determined performance, especially against the added opponent of Storm Bert.
