Porto left it late to seal victory and a spot in the semi-final, with Hugo slotting home a dramatic penalty. It would have been unfair had they not progressed, having dominated for large parts.

Porto realised they would be in for a game, when after ten minutes the away side's pressure saw them score to punish a mistake. The hosts were back on level terms seven minutes later as Tom drove forward and played in Fraser who drilled it into the corner.

Porto have found wins hard to come by, but this match showed an improved resilience to withstand late pressure as the whole team battled hard throughout.

Player of the match, Hugo, played well as right back, delivering nice balls down the wing, and filling in to stop danger. His confidently struck penalty was never in doubt!

Porto showed strong character to grind out a result and will be lifted by this performance. It was a great feeling and the boys deserved it.
