Today was a great reaction after the disappointment of last week's cup defeat. Against the same opponents Porto picked up from where they left off and should be inspired by their response.

Porto frustrated the away team and the controversial first goal was unfair. Porto worked as a tighter unit, coming deep to build momentum and it showed what a united team they are. Their collective spirit shone throughout and will continue to stand them in good stead as they develop.

To win the second half this week showed great progress. Their attacking flair saw Aiden fouled for a penalty, which was duly converted by Hugo. Porto didn't give up and another break enabled Callum to whip in a perfect cross from the left for Jack to stab in.

A trio scooped players of the match this week. Jack for coming deep, linking up well and neat finish, Teddy for good positioning to make important interceptions at the back, and James for his relentless engine and tackles right to the end.

Porto move forward from this game with extra belief that they can positively impact the remaining games of the season.
