Barca were at home this morning for their final league fixture of the season. Newport Pagnell were the visitors to Cedars in what turned out to be a very exciting and closely fought contest.

Barca started the game strongly and dominated possession for most of the first half, culminating in a goal for Olly and positive Barca performances right across the pitch. Tyler, who has been excellent in the Barca goal all season, had a very quiet first 25 mins.

In the second half, Newport Pagnell got on the ball much more and they pegged one back before Rudy clinically finished again for Barca. The final quarter of the match was a thrilling affair, full of goal mouth action and end to end play. The squad size of Newport Pagnell started to show in the end however, and Barca ran out of steam a bit in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Coaches James and Rich were extremely pleased with the performances of all Barca players today - it was a great advertisement for committed, passionate youth football. Gartec Player of the Match awards went to Heidi and Amber who, against physical opposition, were epic today on the right and left sides of midfield respectively.
